Rita:

Like most people, I wanted to be many different things when I finally grew up. It wasn't until I stood at the cusp of adulthood that I understood what life had in store for me and what I wanted from it. Though I think of myself primarily as a visual artist, specifically I am a painter. And more recently, I discovered in myself a writer. I started young. I knew early that art, writing in particular, would be a vital part of my life. In 2000, I realized I could make a living from the written word. Haven’t looked back since.
